WLCI College Reviews - Cheap Cheat Fashion Trend

Dress up your ankles !

WLCI College reviews the cheap and cheat fashion trends straight from the ramp. With the winter months approaching, it’s time to pack up your beach slippers. But don’t blow off the dust from your boots as there is a new trend.

Show off your socks. Indulge in the most coveted crime of fashion footwear – Socks & Sandals !

It’s an inexpensive way to spruce up your winter wardrobe. Transform your ankles from sporty to classy in the amazing range of socks. Listed below are recommendations made by the team at WLCI School of Fashion.

  • Leather socks are in at Jil Sander. We recommend pairing these with over gladiators and a straight cut dress or skirt.
  • Lace socks were spotted on the ramps of Dolce & Gabbana. Transform into a Mexican chica by adorning these with ankle strap pumps.
  • Patchwork socks are being worn by the models of Prada. A fun concept of detailing and color, pair it with a crisp white outfit.
  • Sporty Striped Socks are in style at Preen Line. Our advice is to wear these with denim skirts.

Go wild over hosiery this season.

Is WLC College giving tips on Men’s Fashion ?

WLC College took it upon themselves to better dress the men of our society ! Mentioned below is the cheat sheet to look fabulous in the most discreet way. Simple tips that can add glamour to your wardrobe, without burning a hole in your pocket.

  • For lean men, wear clothes that hug your body. For bulky men, wear the right size and fit (Hint: slim fit is not for you).
  • Never wear more than 3 colors. The color of your accessories- belt, shoes, ties and cufflinks, are included.  Opt for a subtle and simple look.
  • Casual dressing need not be boring, gear up in a collared shirt with your denims for a day out with friends.
  • Pay attention to detail. Add a scarf or pocket square to your formal evening attire to complete the look.
  • Keep your shoes polished. It matters, your shoes speaks loudly of your character so keep them pristinely clean at all times.
  • Don’t be a sucker for brand names. Shop for your look not your status, cheeky thought but true. If the shirt at your supermarket bodes well on your body, buy it, it was made for you.

Dear Men, WLCI School of Fashion has taken the initiative in your retrospect and wishes for a fashionable future. Keep experimenting and cultivating your image. What you wear defines you and your power. It boosts your confidence level too, so chose wisely !

How Wigan & Leigh Celebrated 60's Fashion Era

1960’s was a revolutionary decade in the Fashion Industry. A lot of styles were born during this era. From Mary Quant’s Mini Skirt to Andre Courreges’s Space Look ! Successful fashion experiments are what had made this period. Wigan & Leigh College in India celebrated this epoch in fashion in its own way.

Students were briefed on the assignment and had to compile a research paper, along with sketches of garment. Diverse trends were explored such as the mini dresses, kitten heeled pumps and the vinyl clothing. All were accepted by the varied members of the society. The infamous Bikini too made its first appearance in the era.

Major trends included psychedelic prints consisting of mismatched patterns in the most vibrant colors. Keeping this in mind, the WLCI College Students in Mumbai came up with these designs. As one can observe the essential theme of the 1960’s has been captured but it has a modern feel to it. Observing the cuts and styles of current day and age, this project reveals a perfect blend of “Then & Now”.

WLCI College India is known to engage the students in multiple assignments to explore the vast aspects of an industry. This is so because the founder members of the institute firmly believed in allowing the student to find their calling. If one does not explore, they can never find themselves !

Is WLCI a good Fashion College

Our students certainly think so !

wlci

Rupa Roy is a final year Undergraduate Fashion Technology Student. The team at WLCI wanted an insight on Student feedback so we asked her to share her views.

Roy was asked about her experience with the college. Her claim is that as she walked in through the doors, all her doubts were clear. She was aware that her decision would be fruitful in terms of memories and experiences.

As we bid her adieu, all of her hopes and dreams have been successfully met. In her words, “Although it’s been three years now but I still feel like it was yesterday when I came to WLCI College and made so many memories”.

As Rupa is leaving our nest, she has many avenues waiting for her. Over the years we have nurtured and groomed her to be accept life’s challenges. Her parting words were, “I don’t usually get bad grades but whenever I do, I take it as a Motivation! I believe that Failure Leads to Success ”.
