Earthy Experience at WLCI Design School

What does the combination of mud, clay, water and pair of experimental hands have in common?

They have an extremely innovative output and this was proved at a recent clay-modeling session at WLCI’s Advertising and Design School.

wlci review

The students were extremely excited and they had already a whole lot of expectations from the session; fortunately no one was disappointed. Bags and bags of excellent quality clay was brought by the mentors for the experimentation and after an initial ice-breaking activity, all the students got their first hand experience at clay modeling.  The clay was given a good mix with water and other binding agents and then given a ‘good-beating’ to make a dough that would have the perfect consistency and hold the design and the various permutation and combination the artist would do to create their work of art. After the mixing process was over, the creative bunch of ‘Design School’ got experimental and got their hands dirty in making what they had envisaged to create, which was nothing short of a masterpiece!

The students created various objects out of the clay-such as masks, lamps, quirky objects, mud-clocks, jewelry, and even planter-pots. Some got a smooth output for their evenly handcrafted surface and some others had an overall 3D affect.  The students let their creative juices flow and all in all the entire experience was lively and enriching and left the students happy with what they had achieved.

They thanked their institute for organizing such an interactive session and some of the students confessed that they would love to attend some more workshops of a similar kind!

WLCI Business School appreciates the new Prime Minister Office's initiative to directly reach out to his people and keep them updated of his plans for the country.

wlci review

Narendra Modi took oath as India's 15th prime minister, and minutes after that a new website for the PMO was inaugurated  online.

The home page of the website, now sporting a demure cream-yellow background, has sections for 'Social Media Updates', 'Official Statements', 'News Updates' and one called 'Wish the Prime Minister'.

“As we devote ourselves to take India’s development journey to newer heights, we seek your support, blessings and active participation,” Modi said in his first message on the website.

WLCI Design School reviews - Indian Ambassador Car

WLCI Design School takes a last look at the very Indian Ambassador Car. The maker of the 'Ambassador' has halted production of the iconic car which for long has been the choice of Indian officialdom.

wlci review

Citing weak demand and a lack of funds and casting doubt on the future of a vehicle that has looked essentially the same for nearly six decades, 'Hindustan Motors Ltd' has said in a statement it had suspended work at its Uttarpara plant, outside of Kolkata, until further notice.
Modeled on Britain's 'Morris Oxford', the 'Ambassador' was the first car to be made in India, according to the company, and was once a status symbol. But it began losing its dominance in the mid-1980s when Maruti Suzuki introduced its low-priced 800 hatchback.

With no design changes and no up gradation in technology, the 'Ambassador' car has lost its sheen in the past decade. It has now remained the choice of a dwindling share of bureaucrats and politicians, usually in white with a red beacon on top and a chauffeur at the wheel. It is also still in use as a taxi in some cities.

Review on WLCI Hyderabad Campus by Alumni

wlc review

Frankly speaking I really feel proud after completing my MBA, @wlc,hyd campus! I would like to share my view regarding 3 things-

 1) Regarding Traineeship while doing our course, its really good in working With companies,& also unique experience,,where we can see bigggg difference between wat we study & the exact environment where we work. There is a lot of chance for us in building our Relationships with corporate people, while we do our traineeship!!

2) Regardin Placement : I my self has joined wlc, by listening that college people will be giving achance for students to work @ companies I was not having any faith that college people will asssest us, &provide us traineeship, for students,, to my surprise, I my self has been placed For M&M, company Kharkahna,, I worked with the company for almost six months, later I worked with Religare, for 6months, with almost 10k salary!
Which I havnt expected that I will be working for 10k,while doing my MBA.

3) College Timing & Placement : college timing was around 8-11am, after that most of the students r forced to work with companies, which really Gives good experience, for us to learn more from corporate world, college PROMISES that they will provide us Final placement,,, after completing my MBA I really feel that there is no placement assistance /guidance required,,as we have 2yrs experience,& the company where I work is giving me good package Wat is the need of final placement?, when we have good relation with corporate world!

Now I work in stock broking company, in a remote area & my annual income is 5-6lakh !!

Thanks WLC TEAM, HYDERBAD!!
